Hi my name is Muhammad Imran Anwar. I was born and raised in Pakistan. I came to EIU in January 2006 for my second MS in Technology. I did my first Master degree in Computer Sciences from Hamdard University Karachi Pakistan in October 2001.

I selected the field of web design & development as my carrier, and between October 2001 and December 2005 I worked at different software houses as programmer, web developer, system analyst and as Lecturer for web technologies, e-commerce and .NET at COMSATS Institute of IT Abbottabad in Pakistan.

I loved working on different national and international web based software projects including Complete Computer Automation of University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar Pakistan, Student Information System for ‘Say Yes to Life’ schooling system in California, Web based virtual class room application for 5 campuses of COMSATS Institute of IT and 500 users email and online tracking system for a garment manufacturing company in Pakistan.

Now I am working as a graduate assistant for CATS in EIU on a web cast application to broadcast video lectures on EIU website.

I always enjoyed development & teaching at the same time. I am proud I have taught more than 200 students and most of them very successful in the field of IT.

I like traveling and my previous jobs in Pakistan gave me chances to go around all the major cities in Pakistan. Besides Pakistan, I went to Saudi Arabia, Duabi and Turkey. So far in USA I have seen Chicago, Champaign and Indianapolis. I hope I’ll get chance to visit more places here :)

I plan on doing PhD after I am done with my MS here. My area of interest will be Information Communication Technologies (ICTs).
